29 Going On 60
Yours truly will be turning 30 this year. That thought shocks me. I can still barely take care of myself. If I didn’t have my girlfriend who organizes my life, I wouldn’t even know what time to go to bed. I still watch cartoons. I play video games. I laugh when someone farts. I laugh when I fart. When a friend got a car with a rear view camera installed, I dry-humped the bumper so that he could see my crotch on the screen. That’s funny! How did 30 catch up on me? Maybe it was when my knees stopped working after I would go for a run. Complaining about joint pain…yeah, that can make you lose sight of your 20’s. I notice that candy doesn’t taste as good anymore. What do I crave? Fiber. Fiber keeps you regular. Yeah, craving foods that are good for you over tasty treats is a sign of advancing in age. When it comes to booze, I can still drink with the best that any college can offer…I just can’t do it 2 nights in a row anymore! Yup, turning 30 is something my body is just forcing me to accept.
There are a lot of positives that come out of being a full blow adult though. I get called sir and treated with respect no matter where I go. When I go in to a bar, the bouncers are polite knowing that I probably wont be the punk causing any trouble. I have money and don’t have to consider peanut butter a staple in my diet. I can enjoy a great meal with a nice wine without looking pretentious. Yes, I think I am aging quite gracefully. When I start to feel bad about my age I just look at the picture below. That is my friend Ree. He is 29. He needs to ride the little cart just to do his shopping. Even people 3 times his age are able to walk properly (look behind him!). Yup, I think turning 30 will be just fine for me!

Thats our #1 Defenceman in that cripple kart!!! Mark’s been seeing like 60+ shots a game without him in the lineup.
You are forgetting one big fact: I don’t care. I am not on that team. Even if I was on your team I wouldn’t care. The only thing that is important is how many goals I score. If we lose 36-2 and I had 2 goals then it was a good game. That’s how I roll.
I would like to thank Josie for taking this picture when I am at my worst. i rec’d many bad looks from other customers while i was trying to shop and yes there is a 90 year old lady standing and walking on her own…but i say…who is going to make it to the check out first..haha
