The first Birthday of June is always a fun one! My friend Nik turned 29 this weekend and we kicked it up a little bit. I love celebrating his birthday because the weather is always amazing. So, we usually get to play some golf before we go drinking. This year we decided to play at Granite Ridge in Milton, ON. The round with a cart cost $61. That’s not a terrible price, but it also isn’t as good a deal as this place used to be. But, the place has two 36 holes and is maintained pretty well. One problem they have always had is the speed of a round. This Saturday was the worst it has ever been. It took us around 3.5 hours just to finish the front 9! Luckily a Marshall caught us before lining up at the back 9 and got us to play the back 9 of the other course. This allowed us to fly through the last 9 holes in about 2 hours. Nik was playing in the “responsible” group…while I was playing with the hooligans. I am trying to take more video clips of the things I do.  So, I made a quick little film about my friend Ryan and his birdie putt attempt.  This proves that you just can’t take golf too seriously.

So, golfing was a great time. After a stop to pick up some booze we headed back to Nik’s condo for some drinks and snacks. One of the snacks was an amazing cake made by one of our friends. She decided to stick with the golf theme. This is really cool. Check it out:

After the cake was demolished, the drinks really started flowing. We polished off anything that even resembled booze. I may have had a shot of nail polish remover. I finally bailed on the party around 2am. From the sounds of it, things were going strong for at least another hour after that. All in all this was a great day. Definitely an event to remember…if only I could!
