Enough of this learning nonsense. To hell with Forex. Let’s see more cartoons! I can’t go more than a few days with bringing you something fun from the worlds best web comic sites. This is another one from Explosm. Here we have something all you office workers are completely familiar with: casual Friday. The one day a week where you can where jeans and t shirts. I never really had to make use of this day. I wore whatever the hell I wanted all the time. Hell, I worked at home some days and didn’t even wear clothes! Now that I am a student you would think I would have a similar setup. No dice. My firefighter pre service course requires us to wear a uniform. We wear station wear to class. And, there is no such thing as casual Friday. I am fairly certain that would get my ass kicked out! See what happens when we take the idea of casual Friday to new levels…

My friend Owen forced me to check this comic out, and blog about it. Nah, he just reminded me that SMBC doesn’t have the only awesome comics out there. XKCD has been producing some awesome little sketches for a long time. This one is cool. We live in an age of amazing technology that makes the most unlikely communication possible. Unfortunately, there is no substitute for common sense. This one hit close to home as well. A long time ago I worked with someone who complained that he tried to email, IM, call and page me. He was livid that I was not available for contact. What he failed to do was walk the 20 feet from his desk to my desk to discover I was busy talking to someone. So much technology, so few brain cells.

Here is something almost completely mindless - but incredibly funny. This is another comic from what is fast becoming a favorite site of mine, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. Here is the question: if you were stranded on an island with only a time machine, what would you do? This is probably the most creative solution I have ever seen. Short sighted? Absolutely! But still very funny. Enjoy!

No trade for me last night. I was busy looking after Chubbs and he does not allow you to pay attention to anything other than him for more than a moment. Some interesting stuff going on in Toronto today. For one thing, it is snowing! We got a dumping of snow this morning and it caused some problems for the morning commute. Luckily I don’t have a job anymore! Unfortunately I agreed to drive my girlfriend to work. In other news, a local guy named Thomas Noftall won 135 grand on some scratch tickets on new years. Unfortunately the lottery and gaming commission is claiming that his tickets were part of a batch of 1,000 misprinted tickets. As part of their policy, all he is entitled to is either his $3 back or a new ticket. That SUCKS!!! I am not sure what he is planning to do about this, but I would be taking some action. Imagine playing the game by all the rules and thinking you won a lot of money. Then to have them say you did win, but the ticket wasn’t valid because they goofed. Fuck that. I would be pissed. Even though they clearly state their rules, I wonder if he has grounds to sue? It would be worth a shot. As is my custom, I try to give you something funny everyday. Here is a comic from Abstruse Goose. It is a big one, but one of the best explanations into male thinking I have ever seen. Women often think that we have nothing on our minds. It’s a lie. We are just trying to structure what we say based on how we think you will react. Don’t get mad, it’s a survival tactic that has been working quite well. See the below example.

The movie industry has done an awesome job lately converting comic books into movies. Just look at this last year with The Dark Knight and Ironman. Both were absolute blockbusters and starred some of the industries best talent. They even managed to appeal to people who had no idea about the comics. I stumbled upon a list at King-Mag that has comics that will never get to screen. In fact, I have no fucking idea how they made it to print! These are some stupid, and disturbing comic book covers. Click this LINK for the entire list at King-Mag. Below are some of the better covers off that list.

*Archie vs The Punisher…right…that’s fair.

*The girl who loved the swastika…that sounds like a movie waiting to happen!

*Hahahaa…Pedophiles everywhere are waiting for this one!

*Whatever club this person is a bouncer at…remind me not to go there!

I just found these 3 comics online and thought they were funny. And, they are relevant too! They just sum up everything that is going on with the markets and the financial industry in general. I am always amazed at how the worlds money is all run and controlled by some of the damned dumbest people in the world. What a joke. People will talk about this current crisis changing everything. Bullshit. Once things get stable again everything will go right back into the hands of the old boys. Well, we might as well laugh at it. Enjoy!

Yeah, I didn’t want to end the week with a bad trade so I stayed out of things again last night. Once Tuesday hit I was pretty sure that I would just skip the week and let things settle down after some massive losses on the Dow and TSX. I am also cranky because I didn’t sleep a wink last night. I managed to injure my wrist a while ago and I think I aggravated it yesterday…damn thing was killing me! Oh well. I am hoping things calm down next week and I can get into some trades. I might have to be bold and just jump in with both feet. Let’s see how gutsy I feel. Instead of a trade I bring you a really clever comic from XKCD. This one speaks so much truth it’s insane! I am sure every girl has guy “friends” that they know wants more but they are willing to hang out and undermine any other guy she dates until the timing is right for them to pounce. This is just a funny way of coming clean about that plan of attack.
