Create Your Own Virus

I now consider myself to be officially over the H1N1 bug that pimp-slapped me last week! I still have a slight cough, but that fades away by the hour. I am back to doing physical work and am having no problems. All the H1N1 panic is pretty interesting actually. It reminded me of a flash game I played last year called Pandemic. I looked it up and now there is Pandemic 2! This is a fun little game that lets you design your own virus, bacteria or parasite. As your disease progresses you get evolution points. You can use these points to increase the symptoms of your germ, making it more deadly but also more noticeable. You can increase it’s resistance to drugs and environment. Hell, you can even adapt how it is spread! Your view is of a world map and you can see countries react to the disease by shutting down airports and even hospitals. At some point the world will try to create a vaccine to counter your efforts, but depending on how resistant to drugs your disease is, it may not work. All in all it’s a fun little strategy game that has some relevance with the news lately. Click here to play:

Destroy Humanity With Your Own Disease

Oh man did I ever find a cool time-waster! I found this via a link from Digg. The game is called Pandemic 2. If you ever sit at your desk and fantasize about what it would be like to play god and kill all humans with a disease of your design then you are a really twisted sunuvabitch. Luckily for you, so am I. Pandemic 2 lets you alter things like how your disease is spread, what symptoms it will give to people and even it’s tolerance to climate. You can play a quick arcade style game, or a deeper and longer simulation version. Both are available to play online totally free. I strongly suggest you go play Pandemic 2 and do your best to destroy the Earth. I attached a couple of screenshots below.
