As I write the title to that post I find myself a little shocked. Christmas is almost here! Not only that, the year is almost done. 2009 definitely had a fast pace. I am officially done all my classes for school. What I am not done is one last essay I am supposed to mail in. It’s due today. Once I pick a topic I will be set! This last weekend we had the informal party with my grad class. We got some hotel rooms and some drinks. I honestly don’t remember much else. Great times…I think! I spent Sunday laying in bed watching TV. We were so lazy we ordered in for both lunch and dinner. That kind of laziness takes a very special kind of tired. My bathroom renovation is pretty much complete. The shower looks amazing. I will post some pics of that later. Now I just need to wipe down absolutely everything in my room because of all the dust. How do I wipe down stucco walls…or a fabric couch? I continue to read “Watership Down” and I really don’t ever remember it. It seems like something everyone read back in school. I had no idea rabbits lead such interesting, spiritual lives. Do other animals have books like this? I am also reading “Pride & Prejudice & Zombies” and what the bible says is true: Zombies are awesome. As is my trend with these ramblings, I like to leave you with a comic that has nothing to do with anything. Enjoy your Tuesday everybody!

What a crazy weekend! We are still in the middle of a much needed long weekend. Friday was a night out downtown and Saturday was a little bit of the same. Both nights involved a fair amount of the drink so I was hurting pretty good today. Saturday night was a boys night out and it continued a new trend for me: multiple dinners. I seem to be eating more than I ever have lately. I had dinner before going out for drinks. We then sat down for a full Chinese dinner after the bar. And then, not 30 minutes later, ate pizza! Let’s see how long I can keep this up before I start gaining weight! Anyways, here is a comic that has nothing to do with anything. I really am a big fan of the SMBC comics when they relate to god or religion. Enjoy!

Every once in a while you hear about a new site that is just awesome in it’s simplicity. It is something so easy that you could have easily started it. But, you didn’t. Someone else did. And now you visit there site and kick yourself in the ass. I once featured one of these amazing sites called HotChicksWithNoEyebrows. In fact, if you click THIS LINK you can see a pic of me without eyebrows. I am even more streamlined than usual! I recently came across another site worthy of being mentioned on this blog. It is called Garfield Minus Garfield. It is simply Garfield comic strips that have Garfield removed. It turns into a horribly depressing and sad insight into the Jon character. That poor bastard really is alone and depressed. I strongly suggest you check them out regularly. Here are some samples.

The weekend is over and I already need another one! I am crazy busy trying to stay on top of school work while also having summer fun. It’s a tough balancing act. I went golfing on Friday, but I also had to study for a Monday mid-term. Next weekend will be more of the same. Actually, every weekend will be more of the same. I am exhausted just thinking about it. I guess it is time to laugh. I haven’t posted any comics lately so this is my attempt to make up for that. I picked two of the better SMBC funnies from the last week or so. Enjoy!

*Yeah, that would be me if I ever went to rehab. Now that we have made fun of alcoholism let’s go with an equally fun topic such as women’s rights in history…

Alright, I have been a very bad blogger this week. It has been a couple of days since my last post. I hadn’t intended for this week to be so busy. It all started going to the shitter for me on Tuesday when I found out that my class had a last minute training session thrown at us. This means that I have to be on the training grounds on Thursday and Saturday instead of having days off. Why was that such a problem? My cast was supposed to come off after a re-evaluation with the specialist. These training sessions are specialized and it is not really something you can make up later. So, to hell with my health! I waited at the hospital for about 6 hours on Tuesday night only to find out that they didn’t have the saw to remove the fiberglass cast. They did get me an appointment first thing in the morning to go to the fracture clinic to get it off though. So, I went home for about 3 hours of sleep and then woke up to get the cast removed before class started. Needless to say, I wasn’t anywhere near a computer during any of this. That is my big dramatic excuse. I feel like I need to make it up to you. My last post was serious too. Hmmmm. I know! Comics about cheating and hookers from SMBC! That should make up for it. My next post will cover some of the positives and negatives about our “free” health care here in Canada. For now, enjoy some mindless fun!

*And now for something about hookers…

Sorry for not having much to post the last two days. I had to see an orthopaedic surgeon about my broken wrist and they had me fitted for a different cast. This one is cooler than the last one, but it also makes it a lot harder to type. This new thing is made of fiberglass instead of plaster and is much lighter and more breathable. I am supposed to be in this for two weeks before being re-evaluated. I am pretty sure this thing will drive me crazy and I will be forced to remove it myself. Tomorrow I will try to get some pics of this thing and post them up here. Here is a spoiler: it’s a funky colour! Either when I do it or the nurses remove this I will try to get a video up on YoutTube. So, tonight I will give you a comic from SMBC. This has relevance because I just checked my first semester grades and, as expected, I was awesome and rocked all A’s. Had I gotten an F I may just have tried this.

I hope everyone is having a better Monday than I am. I fell out of bed, cut my leg on an elliptical and managed to have a 38mm handling knock me over. For anyone with any experience firefighting, they will know that a 38mm is a glorified garden hose. I somehow lost control of it and had it knock me to the ground! I wish someone caught it on video because I am told it looked hilarious. Other than that I have a pretty relaxed week for once. I have some time to crack into a new book. The book deals with religion, but in a really funny way. I will explain all about it in another post. But, for now, I will give you a comic that has some relevance to religion. This is a good reason to study your bible if you are Christian. If you aren’t then we look ridiculous for praying to a dead carpenter so you can laugh at this anyways.

I have a hockey game tonight so I am not sure if I will be able to trade during my usual evening hours. I also have a couple of tests tomorrow so I really should spend any free time studying. I know this blog is about Forex but I do try to mix it up a bit. How do I do that? Simple: throw in some random comics that have absolutely nothing to do with Forex! I can always count on the good people at SMBC for that. On that note…

Sorry for the extremely late post today everyone. I got caught between a bunch of tests today and studying for tests and a presentation tomorrow. Whoa…flashback to when I was a punk student in my teens. Weird. Now that I know all there is to know about myocardial infarctions, I need to relax. What better way than with a comic that has nothing to do with anything? C & H can always be counted on for that. Check out their latest…

XKCD comes through again to clarify something that is commonly referenced. The base system has been varying interpretations. Some say first base is kissing. Some say first base is a hand job. There is too big a difference there, and not having a solid definition can cause serious confusion for all. Thanks to XKCD we now have the complete definition.
